چکیده

This paper is concerned with spatially-varying acoustic liner impedance in aeroacoustic ducts, the presence of a high sound pressure level. It shown that discontinuity leading order parameter definition variation. A large yields normal velocity variation, to significant nonlinear effects. An iterative numerical strategy proposed predict over liner. Bayesian inference process coupled surrogate model validate measurements fields above at intensity, obtained using laser Doppler velocimetry.

A homotopy method for determining the eigenvalues of locally or non-locally reacting acoustic liners in flow ducts

This paper presents a unified algorithm for studying the eigenvalue problem of a lined duct using the homotopy method. Results from various validations show that the method developed in this work can provide accurate and reliable numerical solutions for sound-propagation computation. The investigation also indicates that homotopy methods not only overcome the computational difficulties of the e...

Sound absorption and acoustic surface impedance

The normal sound absorption coefficients of two different test objects in an impedance tube are measured with two different methods: The standing wave ratio method (ISO 10534-1:1996) and the transfer function method (ISO 10534-2:1998). From the latter is the specific acoustic impedance ratio calculated. The test objects are two cellular plastics: AC 30 S and FIRE 30 VF (both are 30 mm thick), t...

A comparison of measurement techniques to determine the acoustic impedance at oblique sound incidence angle

In (3) φ is an arbitrary test function and ρ the density of the fluid. In consequence, to calculate the acoustic field and thus, to solve the acoustic wave equation, the impedance Za on the surface Γ has to be known. Hence, a measurement technique to determine the acoustic impedance is of great importance, because a realistic sound field can only be calculated, if the real acoustic impedance at...

A spatially varying PSF model for Seidel aberrations and defocus

Contrary to common assumptions in the literature, the blur kernel corresponding to lens-effect blur has been demonstrated to be spatially-varying across the image plane. Existing models for the corresponding point spread function (PSF) are either parameterized and spatially-invariant, or spatially-varying but ad-hoc and discretelydefined. In this paper, we develop and present a novel, spatially...

A model for non-parametric spatially varying regression effects

A method for non-parametric regression effects is applied to spatially configured data, using a generalised additive form that allows regression effects to vary over areas. The focus is on discrete outcomes in disease mapping but can be adapted to metric outcomes. Specifically a mixed model is proposed that combines a local general additive model (GAM) element for each area with a spatially fil...
